TFC Capitol Complex Phase II

This transformative project blends urban expansion and sustainable design, featuring a mall expansion atop underground parking, streetscape enhancements, and the preservation of Austin’s historic garden district. The scope includes intricate on-structure drainage solutions, native planting design, creative water reuse, and irrigation systems, all while adhering to Great Streets Standards and the Capitol Mall Expansion Master Plan compliance. In collaboration with HOK, our landscape architecture team worked with stakeholders, property owners, and city officials to craft a vibrant urban greenway for the Austin community and its users.
10000 Block Hammerhead Barracks Renovations (Four Phases)

Renovations to 14 barracks on the 10000 Block of the Hammerhead Barracks at Fort Cavazos were completed over four phases to improve energy efficiency, enhance soldier living conditions, and achieve LEED Silver certification. Delivered through the Design/Build method, the project included outdoor pavilions, seating areas, pathways, a basketball court, and tree mitigation. Designs prioritized climate resilience, efficient stormwater management, and site security while minimizing long-term maintenance costs. With over eight years of collaboration on 10+ projects with the same design-build team, the project delivered durable, regulation-compliant solutions aligned with military operational goals.

The renovation of the Langtry Travel and Information Center revitalizes the space, transforming an outdated landscape into a sustainable oasis in the heart of the Chihuahuan Desert. The design emphasizes water conservation with extremely low-water-use plants and incorporates local materials to blend seamlessly with the natural surroundings. Native plantings and meandering walking trails weave through the iconic cactus gardens, offering visitors a chance to connect with the unique ecology of the Trans-Pecos region in South Texas. With a focus on sustainability, this project enhances the visitor experience while preserving the natural beauty and environmental integrity of the area.

Joint Base B Wing Building

The landscape architectural design for the Joint Base San Antonio B-Wing Building focused on sustainable planting and hardscape solutions, complemented by an efficient irrigation system utilizing underground stormwater storage and greywater reuse. The design includes pathways, a plaza, and pervious pavers to reduce runoff and enhance site functionality, all while meeting ATFP-compliant security standards. By integrating low-maintenance landscaping and innovative water management strategies, the project supports environmental resilience, operational safety, and the long-term sustainability goals of the installation.
