The Vera is an affordable ownership flats community in South Austin that integrates innovative water quality features with thoughtful site design. Enhanced plantings slow and filter runoff, creating a functional yet visually striking landscape element highlighted by pedestrian bridges that draw attention to the site's natural systems. Navigating a complex terrain with existing trees and significant grade changes, the design carefully weaves in shaded gathering spaces and outdoor amenities, offering residents a welcoming urban retreat that balances sustainability, community, and nature.

The Rhett is an affordable housing community designed to foster connection and outdoor living through two thoughtfully programmed courtyards. The pool courtyard serves as a vibrant social hub, featuring shade structures that create comfortable spaces for grilling, dining, and gathering, encouraging interaction among residents. The second courtyard offers a more flexible community space, integrating a playground and open areas that invite activity, relaxation, and engagement. Designed to draw residents out of their units and into a welcoming outdoor environment, The Rhett’s landscape creates a private oasis that balances recreation, socialization, and retreat within a cohesive community setting.

The Sasha is a 60-unit multi-family development providing permanent and transitional supportive housing on the SAFE Alliance Campus, an organization dedicated to breaking cycles of violence and abuse. Designed with trauma-informed landscape principles, the site fosters a welcoming and restorative environment. A thoughtfully integrated entry enhances accessibility, while a central courtyard—nestled into the building—creates a safe, flexible space with terraced seating and framed views of the adjacent creek’s tree canopy, reinforcing a connection to nature. Strategically located along a key transit corridor in Austin, The Sasha supports individuals and small families in their transition to stable housing, with the landscape playing a vital role in healing and community-building.
Plum Creek Build-For-Rent

Plum Creek is a thoughtfully designed build-for-rent community featuring individual detached units that blend privacy with neighborhood connection. Shared walkways lead to each home, fostering interaction among residents while maintaining a sense of individuality. Each unit includes a private yard, offering personal outdoor space, while end units open directly onto existing open spaces and trails, integrating the community into the larger Plum Creek network. This design encourages walkability, connectivity, and engagement with the surrounding natural and recreational amenities.
